Privacy
HearOnce is built around privacy-first audio delivery.
What we store
- audio files (private)
- link settings
- sender and optional recipient email addresses
- playback and open event records
- IP-based security and geo metadata such as country and city when available
What we do not do
- no public indexing
- no selling data
- no tracking outside playback logic
Link privacy
- links are unlisted
- expire automatically
- playback is controlled
HearOnce is designed for private audio sharing and expiring audio links, not public distribution. We aim to make secure audio delivery clear and limited by default.
Email usage
Email addresses are only used for delivery or notifications. They are not reused for unrelated purposes and are never shared for marketing or resale.
Why we collect this data
HearOnce uses limited accountless data to deliver links, enforce playback and expiration rules, send optional email notifications, detect abuse, support the admin dashboard, and understand whether a link was opened or played. We do not collect this information for advertising.
Security and abuse prevention
We may store IP addresses, event logs, and coarse location data such as country or city when provided by the platform so we can detect suspicious activity, limit misuse, operate bans when necessary, and keep the service reliable for legitimate users.
Retention and deletion
Audio is intended to be temporary. Expired or exhausted links are cleaned up automatically, and media files are removed from storage as part of that cleanup flow. Operational records such as link metadata, event logs, and security records may be retained longer when needed for service integrity, diagnostics, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Service providers
HearOnce relies on infrastructure and delivery providers to operate, including Cloudflare for hosting, storage, networking, and database services, and Resend for email delivery when email sending is used.
Your requests
If you want to ask about stored data, request deletion, or report a privacy concern, contact hello@hearonce.com. We will review reasonable requests in line with our legal and operational obligations.
Security mindset
We design the system so your audio is not easily extractable or spreadable. That means private storage, controlled playback, and an emphasis on send audio without download workflows wherever possible.
